How to get an e-book in .pdf from .acsm?

3 ways to retrieve image from a WordPress post

Since WordPress 2.9 the function post thumbnails, later renamed as featured image has been a solution to the custom image resize/crop problems. However, users of older versions or for another reason, you may want to retrieve an image from a post to be included in a template of the theme. I googled it for you and I would love to share them with you.
This post includes 3 different code snippets to retrieve the (first) image attached to a post. All of them don’t need custom fields or plugins at all.
